WALK FOR BELONGING - April 25, 2026
April is Second Chance Month, a special time raising awareness of those moving beyond incarceration. The Walk for Belonging is a chance for those who are system-impacted and supportive allies to come together in community for a gathering of levity, sharing, and resources.
Mark your calendar and invite your network to this 5th annual event at Green Lake. Walk the lake or simply come be with your friends. Consider volunteering, being an event sponsor, donating a raffle item, or forming a fundraising team to support re-eentry efforts. Together we’re creating a world where everyone belongs!

Communities of Belonging is a 501c3 empowering formerly incarcerated and homeless populations with holistic support and peaceful reintegration into society.
We build safe, trusting, and caring connections and weave them together with practical, tangible resources so that marginalized individuals feel a sense of belonging, purpose and contribution.
For 7 years, our Restorative Home has provided marginalized individuals with the opportunity to live in a caring, conscious, clean and sober community.
Our broader program gathers weekly for a community circle designed to build relationships with allies of all backgrounds and histories.
We also host Community Conversations designed to put a human face on the complex issues of incarceration and homelessness. Through vulnerability and the sharing of personal stories, we strive to reduce fear and stigma and to build allies through thoughtful dialogue and understanding.
Our Mission
We build connected communities through restorative homes, community conversations and holistic reentry support that integrate marginalized populations as a vital part of the whole.
